Vasundhara Jayaraman

I am currently working as a Research Engineer in the Complex Systems Group at the Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC), a Research Institute under the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. My interests lie primarily in Computer Vision and 3D modelling (algorithm design. I am also interested in Agent Based Simulations and their application to various real world problems. My current work lies somewhere between these interests.

I received my Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Visveswaraiah Technological University, India. I worked briefly in Honeywell Technology Solutions where I was trained in various Programming techniques. I then worked at Sony India Software Center in Bangalore as an ABAP Consultant for a couple of years before I decided to pursue my Masters in Digital Media Technology from the School of Computer Engineering(SCE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

My interests have therefore primarily been in Engineering and fit under the umbrella that we call Computer Graphics. I hope to be able to venture into different areas soon and branch out from there. I am currently exploring geo - visualization and agent based simulation in the area of urban sustainability. This includes (and is not limited to) transport simulation. I am hoping to share what I have learned thus far on my blog (which I will later on link to this account). Hopefully, i can learn more with help from others in this field whose learnings I can glean in a similar fashion. So, watch this space!
