My first musical journey began when Mozart came into my life. From being an introvert, it all changed when I discovered my love for Classical Music. These inspired me to pursue and perform music. I studied and practiced piano for almost 7 years and also had choir experience during my high school years. Both my piano and voice improved when I started studying in the University of Santo Thomas - Conservatory of Music. Music also developed my social and performing skills since I love performing for everyone. I also had experience singing and performing with the UST Liturgikon Vocal Ensemble. In short, “Inspiration” is one of the main reasons that made me fall in love and improve in music.
I grew up in a non-musical family and music was not given any recognition. Since my province has limited access to music, it may be difficult and expensive to learn it. Besides performing, I planned on sharing my musical knowledge and creating easy accessible music to them. I’m currently teaching trainees at DCC or “De Colores Chorale” in Manaoag, Pangasinan. Teaching music brought me happiness and that is why I am honored to teach and train musicians.
I learned plenty of things from my University such as arranging songs, organizing a choir, and various musical techniques. I will continue to use and possibly share these to my people. If no one else does then I will do it myself. These may take a longer time, but I won’t rest until I achieved those goals.
I was born as an average person and never had academic honors. With or without honors, the most important things we do in life are respecting and loving each other. Time and people may change overtime, but our good morals will remain. Others may pursue medicine, engineering, law, and the like for the public, but for me I want to be something more unique like pursuing my passion which is music. Peace!
