Voice to Word Consulting

Voice to Word Consulting is a Toronto-based company offering customized training and seminars to support the needs of clients who have English as a Second Language. We specialize in refining English pronunciation, speaking and writing skills and cross-cultural communications.
The founder and director of Voice to Word Consulting, Heather Chetwynd, has worked for over 20 years in the field of adult education and English as a Second Language (ESL). Her experience includes teaching all levels and subjects of ESL, training adult educators and developing educational materials. She has taught extensively in both community programs and courses for university-college preparation (English for Academic Purposes), and worked overseas in adult education and teacher training. Over the years, she has trained students from all over the world from a wide variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
The director has a Master degree specializing in voice and adult education, and is certified as an ESL teacher and NLP coach. Additional courses and workshops include training in pronunciation and cross cultural communications, alternative education, music and voice studies. As an adult, she has also learned a second language (Spanish), a process through which she developed an intuitive understanding of the complexity of second-language learning.
Our goal is to increase the personal and organizational success of our clients. Integrating adult education, voice studies, cross-cultural communications, ESL training, linguistics and speech language pathology (speech therapy,) the qualified teachers at Voice to Word Consulting take a multi-faceted approach to improving the communication skills of non-native speakers.
