As you can probably tell from above my name is Tori. I'm so glad that you've decided to come and read a little bit about me! Truth be told there is both a lot and not much to tell.
Recently I had my heart broken through the ending of a relationship that I thought was meant for marriage. As I struggled with the pain and confusion of it all I sought out support from those who knew what I was going through. I wanted to be reassured that these feelings and struggles I had were normal and natural. What I found was a staggering lack of Christ centered support for this heartbreak online.
As a writer I had been documenting my feelings, experiences, and lessons the Lord was teaching me from the very start of the breakup. One evening while I was relaying my struggles to a friend and reading to her out of my journal she proposed the idea of writing it in a blog for other young women to read. I was hesitant about the idea originally due to it being a deeply personal topic but soon realized the encouragement it could be.
I had been looking for someone else to be my support, to show that I wasn't alone. I was wanting someone else to be deeply personal with me. If theres one thing I've learned through years of mentoring young girls its that if you want self-disclosure then you're first going to have to give it.
When It Doesn't Work Outis a blog of deeply personal experiences and struggles that I have gone through these past few months. It involves struggles with love, heartbreak, friends, family, and faith. I pray the words I write will be an encouragement for you to know you're not alone, you're not crazy, and you ARE loved.
If anything I've written speaks to you or you just want to connect feel free to Email me. I'd love to hear from you!
