I’m a Maternity Specialist passionate about moms, babies, their birth and mothering experiences. I'm an Advanced Midwife with a Masters Nursing degree (MCur), IBCLC Lactation Consultant (Retired), Baby Massage Practitioner, Hypnobirthing Childbirth Educator, Kinesiologist and PPE - Pre + Perinatal Psychology Educator through APPPAH and Certified Emotion Code Practitioner (Discover Healing).
I completed my MBA, and Masters in Applied Business Research - MABR as part of the DBA program. I worked at Abu Dhabi, UAE premier obstetrics hospital, Corniche Hospital, first as a Midwife then Clinical Educator for 4 years from 2010 to 2015.
Setting up maternity services for a homecare nursing services and a primary health care clinic followed for the next 2 years. With this experience I joined an homecare nursing company in Al Ain as COO, where I learned about CARF, Daman and the challenges of this sector in the UAE.
As an IBCLC Lactation Consultant at NMC Womens Hospital, Abu Dhabi, I implemented the international BFHI - Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative with extensive training to all staff alongside a lactation clinic serving both inpatient and outpatient mothers.
My training as a Meta Coach (trained with Dr Michael Hall), & Executive Leadership Coach supports my interest in the development of peoples' potential.
I have over 30 years combined experience in management, clinical practice, education, training, + QI.
I am passionate about helping women integrate the positive transformational aspects of pregnancy and birth into their mothering experiences.
I agree with Dr Thomas Verny, that “world ecology has to start with womb ecology. We cannot have peace and good people in the world without raising peaceful, good children. And that has to start at conception, not at birth, but at conception.”
