Vaughn Edmeade is a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, father, educator, track coach, and pastor. He grew up as just an average kid. He was blessed to attain All-American status in track and field while in high school and became a noted musician during his college and young adult years.

In 2002 his challenges began as he struggled to focus while at Stony Brook University and barely made graduated in four years with a very average 2.3 GPA. Subsequently he was dismissed from law school because of low grades.

That was just the beginning, in just a few short years from 2009 to 2010 he experienced getting married, having twins, going through a divorce, and finally getting laid off.

Since then he has turned things around graduating with his Masters in Pastoral Studies with a 3.8 GPA and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Leadership. In 2012 Vaughn founded his empowerment brand called "Average Is Failure". A.I.F. is an education based empowerment company that provides relationship, entrepreneur, and self-development tools for young professional civic leaders. Vaughn, or Coach Vaughn, as many call him, has been able to speak to thousands of youth, young adults and older adults through speeches and workshops at K-12 schools, universities, businesses, religious and community organizations. He is specifically believes in impacting many of the issues found in urban communities by informing people about the importance of healthy familial relationships, education, and entrepreneurship.
