Venessa Kaiser
Architect, Artist, and Mental Health & Human Behaviour Reasearcher in Dhaka, Bangladesh
Venessa Kaiser is a multidisciplinary artist, architect, researcher, poet, and curator whose practice is rooted in creating art with intention. For more than two decades, art has been the language through which she understands the world, transforming memory, grief, identity, wonder, and human behaviour into immersive visual experiences that invite reflection and dialogue.
Since 2000, she has actively participated in national and international art competitions, receiving numerous awards, distinctions, and certifications that have shaped her lifelong artistic journey. She is the winner of Art Battle Dhaka, a recipient of Cambridge International's Top in the World award in Art, and her work continues to be recognised for its conceptual depth and interdisciplinary approach.
Working across drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, zines, performance, and participatory practices, Venessa explores the intersection of psychology, philosophy, architecture, and the human condition. Alongside her studio practice, she curates exhibitions, workshops, and community art experiences that encourage dialogue, vulnerability, and collective participation, believing that art is not only something to be viewed but something to be lived.
Currently completing a Master's in Architecture, her research investigates therapeutic environments and the relationship between space and mental well-being, extending her artistic inquiry into the built environment. Through every medium she works with, Venessa seeks to create spaces where difficult emotions can be witnessed, transformed, and shared, where art becomes both an archive of lived experience and a catalyst for connection.
