Vernon Harkins, partner at Rush, Hannula, Harkins & Kyler, L.L.P., has spent his 25 years of practice focusing on representing the victims of medical negligence and car accidents. Recently, he and his partner, Dan Hannula, won a $15.4-million verdict on behalf of a high-school student who was paralyzed in a diving accident. Harkins began his career as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Spokane County, where he tried cases for three years after receiving his degree from Gonzaga University Law School in 1975.
