Vernon Sechriest

Vernon Sechriest, MD, is an accomplished and revered physician and orthopedic surgeon. He has devoted his life to quality healthcare delivery through service in the military, as a civilian, and most recently as a federal employee. His passion for teaching has allowed him to instruct thousands of medical students and residents. He is also committed to research activities that have a positive impact on healthcare delivery.

Dr. Sechriest pursued his undergraduate education at The Johns Hopkins University before enrolling in the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Later, he finished his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Minnesota and his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction of the Hip & Knee at the Insall-Scott Kelly Institute in New York City.
