I am a solution seeking, accountable, and dynamic lifelong learner pursuing growth opportunities that leverage my 20+ years of experience in the creative, technical and financial industries.

I started my career in creative roles, including multimedia design and marketing. I had a day job at a nightclub. I answered help desk calls for Adobe Software and did game testing for the Tony Hawk Pro Skater franchise. I had a lot of fun acting like a giant kid.

From there, I slid over to the operations side of things, analyzing and improving business processes and whipping unruly systems into shape. My right and left hemispheres were not aware that they are supposed to be at odds, and I eventually became an accountant, of all things.

All of my career transitions came about because someone I knew needed help from someone they could trust. So I raised my hand, and then got busy learning everything I could about the problem and how to solve it, through self-study and formal training. I found that the solution to most problems required the implementation of more sophisticated technology—which required stakeholder buy-in, meticulous documentation, and end-user education. So that’s what I did.

Over the years, I’ve had to communicate seamlessly with multiple departments, internal and external, from the warehouse to the board room. Some of them want all the details, others just want the bottom line; some love technical jargon, others need the “For Dummies” version. Everyone wants to feel understood and validated. So that’s what I did.
