Vet Wheels is a fully equipped, state of the art, mobile veterinary hospital. The mobile facility stands ready to receive patients with a variety of medical or surgical needs.
Digital X-Rays, ultrasound, and comprehensive laboratory services are just a few of the high tech features that our cutting edge mobile veterinary vehicle has to offer.
We provide a full range veterinary services, including low cost spay and neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and wellness exams.
Veterinarian and owner/operator Dr paul B Lortz, has practiced in the five boroughs for the past 17 years. Dr Lortz is experienced in several fields of veterinary medicine, including general practice, shelter medicine, and emergency medicine and critical care. Our goal is to provide all New York City Pets with proper medical care. Over the years, our Dr's and staff have have worked to rescue and care for thousands of low income New York City pets.
"Going Mobile" gives us the opportunity to reach thousands of pets in need whom might otherwise be overlooked or surrendered to city shelters. And while we are not a free service, being a mobile facility allows for overall operating expenses to be kept to a minimum. This, in turn, allows Vet Wheels to offer superior veterinary care at a dramatically lower cost to the pet owner. Our mission is to continue to provide high quality veterinary care at a super low price.
