I am a technology investor. I am a Partner at Amadeus Capital.

I am a multiple (serial?) founder. Currently, I am a founder of Blue Beck (mobile software and game development), Digital Hive (Co-Working Space) and Tech North Advocates (non-profit promoting the role of tech in the North of England), and serve as Chairman of Bibblio. I am also a Venture Partner at Emerge Education.

Previously, I was the Global Head of Business Development – Games for BlackBerry. BlackBerry had acquired mobile social gaming platform Scoreloop where I was the Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel and had helped drive growth to now 350m+ users.

I used to be a lawyer but moved into mobile entertainment in about 1999. I have worked with music artists like Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg, Eve, Nile Rodgers and Duran Duran on the world’s first mobile artist services and have been in the mobile games sector almost from its start with Mforma/Hands-On Mobile and Connect2Media (which I co-founded) where I oversaw licensing and corporate development and worked with Marvel, Hasbro, Activision, LEGO, BMW, Konami, the World Poker Tour, Universal, Viacom, and many developers, brand owners and network operators along the way.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Governor of the Fallibroome Academy, and “outstanding” (OFSTED) comprehensive school.
