Vianna Davila

The transportation reporter for the San Antonio Express-News since 2011, I have been a working journalist since 2002 and have covered everything from suburban city councils to crime and politics. I also teach journalism part-time at Texas State University, one of the country's most prestigious journalism programs. I have a master's in journalism from the University of California at Berkeley, where I focused on documentary. My thesis film, a 25-minute documentary called "In His Blood," about the lives of two overnight news cameramen, won the Best Short Documentary Prize at the 2009 San Antonio Film Festival.
