Vibhor Gautam believes that teaching mathematics properly requires more than just providing students with formulas. Instead, he strives to foster a collaborative and interactive environment with his students where they feel welcome in the classroom. He stresses the importance of understanding mathematical concepts in theory and the ability to think independently. Furthermore, Mr. Gautam teaches his courses to accommodate diverse learning styles, encourages students to form study groups, and offers an open door policy for students needing additional help outside of class.
In 2005, Mr. Gautam earned his Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. While working on his graduate degree, he acted as a teaching assistant for freshman level math courses. He was also an active member of the New Mexico chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, a national fraternal organization for mathematics students. His Bachelor of Science in Mathematics was completed at the same university in 2003. Vibhor Gautam possesses certification to teach distance learning courses through Web CT and completed Angel Training Level 1 and 2 for online courses. He recently attended meetings in New Orleans and Boston for the Mathematical Association of America.
