Originally from Bohol, I have the opportunity to work as an Audio-Visual/ Computer Technician and College Instructor at the Visayas State University (formerly Visayas State College of Agriculture) in Baybay, Leyte; Computer Programmer at the National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, University of the Philippines (UP) Los Banos, Laguna; Statistics Consultant at the Fiber Technology and Utilization Division of FIDA, Quezon City; Assistant Professor at UP Cebu College, Cebu City; and currently, as Assistant Professor VII at UP Mindanao, Davao City .

While in UP Mindanao, I was given the opportunity to handle important positions such as Vice Chancellor for Administration (May 2010-Feb 2013); Chair of the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science (AY 1997-2007), IT Director (1997-2005) and various department, college and university committees and decision-making bodies such as University Academic and Administrative Personnel Board (UAPB & UAdPB), University Executive Committee, University Management Committee, Investment and Income Committee, Bidding and Award Committees (BAC), etc.

In 2008, I was fortunate to have been awarded a 1-year scholarship from the Australian Development Scholarship which gave me the opportunity to pursue Master of ICT in eBusiness at the University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.

Outside the university, I was involved in other organizations and was elected President of the Council of Deans in IT Education in Davao Region from SY 2001-04, President of the Philippine Society of IT Educators - Chapter XI for three years (SY 2009-11, SY 2014-15), member of the Board of Directors of the Davao ICT Council, officer of the Philippine-Australian Alumni Association Inc (PA3I) - Davao Chapter, and member of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED-XI) Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) in IT Education.

My current areas of interest are in eLearning, data analytics, machine learning, and stock market fundamental and technical analysis
