Vicenc Marti is currently CEO of Akamon Entertainment, the leading platform for local and casino type social games in Southern Europe and Latam. With 6 million registered users the company operated its own portals in Spain and France, Brazil as well as eight games on Facebook with a strategy of shared liquidity among all its platforms. The company was founded in July 2011, has grown to 40 employees in offices in Malta, Barcelona, Valencia and Sao Paolo. The company is highly profitable and regarded today as a very attractive acquisition channel for gambling players in the newly regulated Spanish market.
Vicenc acquired his gaming and gambling experience at 2 billion annual revenue Spanish behemoth Cirsa Corporation where he held different roles in his five year´s tenure such as Global CMO and CEO of Cirsa Interactive the B2B gambling systems division.
After Cirsa, Vicenc momentarily left the gaming industry to become CCO and CMO of the Spanish low cost airline Vueling, where he co- led the company to a very successful IPO in December 2006 valuing the company north of € 400 million after a venture capital investment of € 30 million. He was also among other positions CEO of the fashion brand Custo Barcelona.
Vicenç graduated "Cum Laude" from Saint-Louis University in 1993, obtained a GEMBA from IESE Business School in 2005 and an SEP from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2009. He is an active business angel, advisor to start ups and writes articles on the Spanish business press on entrepreneurship, start ups, innovation and human capital.
Vicenc is 43 yearls old and lives in Barcelona with his two children. He enjoys cooking, skiing, diving, playing paddle tennis and above all following FC Barcelona both at home or on the road wherever his occasional travel might take him"
