Vicki Medellin
Welcome families!
I wanted you to know a little more about me, Vicki Medellin. I have a strong background in student teaching from high school, my university years and various experiences in caring. I attended the Teacher Academy for 7 years and in that capacity, I was exposed to different educational settings and methods from Montessori, charter to public school ranging from early elementary to junior high students. Later at university, I participated in service-learning at an elementary school and to 11th graders teaching financial literacy; all of which were in a lower socio-economic environment. I also volunteered at a therapeutic horse ranch utilizing Hippotherapy and it was so wonderful to experience that! The ranch provided equine assisted activities to that group of high school student, whom had a variety of physical, cognitive, and psychological disabilities.
In addition to childcare, I have also house-sat, dog-sat and was a companion for the elderly.
About me: I am great with kids and those who are kids at heart; pets; I'm a foodie and love arts & crafts. I like playtime, parks, museums, watching movies and outdoor activities. I have a clean driving record and have my CPR and first aid certificate.
I am looking for something for fulfilling and meaningful, so I that is why I am a caregiver, which provides me with the flexibility to provide the best care possible anytime of the day, evening, night or overnight. I will do my absolute best and keep a loving and healthy relationship with your child(ren), yourself, your family and friends.
Thank you so much! Call me and let's chat!
