For 40 years I have worked on books, organizations and projects intended to turn humans and humanity towards a thriving just and sustainable future. Through this, I have influenced literally millions of people to rethink their relationship with money, time, food and civic engagement. My intent is well expressed in the purpose of the New Road Map Foundation, started with a team in 1984:

The New Road Map Foundation seeks to foster a cooperative human community in a diverse yet interconnected world by creating and disseminating practical tools and innovative approaches to personal and cultural change. We promote love and service as routes to personal and social well-being.

I am known for social creativity, a probing intellect, eloquent articulation, sense of fun and possibility and inspirational speaking and writing.

I have expertise in systems and strategic thinking, social innovation, media interview skills, dialogue facilitation, creative non-fiction, public speaking and coaching.

I am looking for:

Opportunities to mentor young change agents to stay balanced while making waves

Food System change-makers to build and expand the 10-Day Local Food Challenge organization.

Serve in an advisory/coaching capacity individuals and organizations focused on:

Resilience and relocalization

Social Permaculture

Community organizing for sustainability

Food System change
