In 1989 I founder GetEducated.com and the Diploma Mill Police: the first consumer groups to rate, rank, and verifies the credibility of online colleges and degrees.

A first generation college student, I designed America’s first counseling center for online learners for America Online way back in 1989.

My advice to students has been sourced in the Wall Street Journal, Time, Fortune, U.S. News & World Report, CBS News and so on.

My pug dog, Chester Ludlow, has an online MBA, which says a lot about the work to be done bringing quality control to the area of online learning.

Bragging Rights

In 2009, U.S. News & World Report Says: "Vicky Phillips, for 20 years the leading consumer advocate for online college students." Joyce Lain Kennedy career columnist says: "one of America's leading experts on education fraud."

The founding editor of "Wired" and futurist Kevin Kelley wrote this of my work helping consumers find and compare online education programs:

"Of all the books, websites, and too-good-to-be-true tutorials I’ve seen, Get Educated is the only reliable source of information for online degrees." —Kevin Kelly, Wired Editor, 2013
