I am Professor in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City. I define myself as an applied computer scientist designing and studying the use, adoption and adaptation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in a variety of contexts, including office workplaces, homes, urban communities and public spaces. I am a Senior Research Fellow of CRITO at the University of California, Irvine, and also a Visiting Fellow at the University of Manchester. I am Member (Level 1) of the National System of Researchers of the National Mexican Science Council (CONACYT) and member of the ICT network (Red TIC).
