Victor Agruso has 20+ years of executive leadership and consulting experience in the Human Resources field. He works with public and private firms ranging from mid-market enterprises and startups to Fortune 50 organizations in multiple industries, including Nike and Humana, in union and non-union environments.

Mr. Agruso empowers HR professionals and stakeholders to attain improved and lasting change within their organizations, with the ultimate aim of becoming stronger business partners, better employee engagement advocates, and more competent and committed leaders. He specializes in strategy clarification and structure-capability-culture alignment, leadership branding and succession, and HR functional effectiveness.

Among many other notable projects, Mr. Agruso has executed domestic and global HR division transformations for an emerging growth technology infrastructure services merger, a $6B disease management biotechnology company, a marquee program division of a $400MM digital cable and satellite television network, and an $18B healthcare organization.

Mr. Agruso has worked with many dominant corporate brands throughout his career.

Earlier career achievements include serving as Corporate Director for HR Development & Organization Planning for Hallmark Cards. At Hallmark, his responsibilities included overseeing annual delivery of comprehensive learning modules for several thousand team members; co-facilitating a corporate strategy clarification and organization alignment mission that substantially decreased operating expenses and reversed declining performance trends; and implementing a balanced scorecard performance management and incentive compensation program that remains in use today.

Later, at Nike’s footwear division, Mr. Agruso served as Global HR Director for the footwear division (the company’s largest). There he reengineered Nike’s corporate HR division structures, services, and technologies. He also led the int’l HR planning process that facilitated the timely launch of key position succession and organizational development plans across the company.

Mr. Agruso then assumed the position of VP of organization development and corporate relations at Humana, in a newly created role. His successes at Humana included a major campaign to streamline the company’s product portfolio, work processes, and executive team; and a wholesale enhancement of the company’s HRIS technologies and corporate administration capabilities at significantly lower expense.
