I Hold a Swirling Storm

\When I write, it's difficult almost like a constantly changing sea with storm clouds drifting in. At first my mind is blank and smooth with nothing to spark a commotion, but as my thoughts grow, the clouds get darker and become denser. Then suddenly … BAM! An idea flashes in my mind like a bolt of lightning. I quickly put my words on a page as the storm gets heavier and fills with fierce activity, as lumbering waves bring new thoughts to the subject. Like all swirling storms, the eye passes over and my mind becomes a loss for thoughts just like the beginning. The waters slow down to a gentle lapsing against the walls of my head. During this time I tend to re-read, and re-vise me own work. If new thoughts don’t sweep over me soon, I turn to confidants to expose their input on my writing to hopefully improve and re-write my writing. Eventually the eye passes without warning and thoughts and ideas flood back to me. Soon I’m back to crashing my minds voice on paper like ruff waves. Things lie beneath the surface of storms, similar to my writing. My writing tends to drift off the main topic like a gentile stream and forces the reader to lose my train of thought.
