V.A. Manning (Victoria Manning) grew up in the world famous Monterey, CA with its rocky coast line and lush forests ripe for adventure. Growing up in a tourist hot spot, Manning had the opportunity to meet people from all different walks of life. She was surrounded, daily, by cultural diversity, which helped to inspire her imagination to create interesting characters. Her explorations of the land, which had many different terrains, inspired her to work with, and create, all manner of realms. She expresses herself in many different ways – writing, photography, and digital art, and enjoys the process of creating meaningful pieces of art that mix all of her passions into one final piece.

Manning currently lives nestled against the Huachuca Mountains of Southern Arizona and fills her days with writing, reading, crafting, creating art, and her children. She is continuing to explore the different genres of fiction – and thus, art – enjoying the process of creating characters and worlds that are diverse and imaginative.

Aside from her children, Manning is owned by a black cat, aptly named Toothless (after the Dragon), and a Basset Hound mix named Rue. She happily spends her days writing, surrounded by the laughter of her kids, the mewling of her feline companion, and the constant tail-wagging happiness of her canine friend.

Many of the works, visual and written, published and shelved, that Manning has started are inspired by real life events, emotions, and people – even if the setting is another world. She pours her heart and soul into her writing, using it to express herself in a way that she understands.
