Currently in my third year studying RTA: Media Production at Ryerson University, I’m a student who’s passionate about all things, you guessed it, media! I have taken many courses regarding graphic design, radio broadcasting and podcasts, video editing, directing and performance, scriptwriting, and live studio/ intermediate multicam classes (that are 6 hours long! ). However, my true passion lies in reporting and interviewing as my dream is to become a news reporter or TV anchor one day! Though I enjoy being behind the camera just as much as I enjoy being in front of it, there’s a thrill and wave of excitement of being able to tell stories that are happening right now from around the world to a huge audience that is tuning in, wherever they may be. My goal is to get an internship at a TV station this summer, so I can learn more tricks of the trade and enhance the skills that I already have. But before that, I am planning on getting more experience by volunteering at Rams Live, my school’s sports broadcasting station that is in charge of producing and live streaming all the tournaments and games happening right at Ryerson.

I have helped out at conferences like the International Sport and Society Conference at Ryerson and the Top Talent Summit- Canada's Signature Talent Acquisition Conference in Mississauga. I have also worked as a Production Assistant and extra on the set of The Book of Girl, thanks to my theatre background, where I was part of a theatre company back in 2017, as well as my high school’s drama club. It also helped when I worked during the summer as a stand-in for a CBC cooking show that is coming out next year! In addition to this, I absolutely love volunteering at TIFF, since I love watching and discovering new foreign films (and if that’s not a sign that someone is a movie lover, then I don’t know what is).
