Victoria Davis, Soprano, is in her Fourth year at theOberlin Conservatory of Music, where she studies with Professor of Voice,Marlene Ralis Rosen. Recently, Ms. Davis has appeared in the role of La Ciescain Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. In past roles, she has also appeared as The Sandmanin Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel and Lady Billows in Britten’sAlbert Herring with Oberlin’s Opera Theatre. This past summer she completed theOberlin in Italy program where she worked with coaches and conductors such as Enza Ferrari, Anna Fre,Piergiorgio Del Nunzio,Danielle Orlando and Eytan Pessen.In the summer of 2013, she participated inDolora Zajick’s Institute for Young Dramatic Voice’s where she worked with someof Opera’s best conductors and coaches such as Terry Lusk, Richard Bado and KenWeiss. She has also participated in numerous Master classes with Notables suchas Danielle Orlando, Dolora Zajick and most recently, Marilyn Horne. In 2011,Ms. Davis was the recipient of the DC-CAP Gala scholarship as well as the DeanScholarship from The Oberlin Conservatory. She has been a featured soloist inmany concerts and events including the Welcoming of the First lady of Russiawith Michelle and Barack Obama and the Kennedy Center’s Young Artist in Americapresentation. She had also participated in the Washington National Opera’sJuneteenth celebration as a soloist. Ms. Davis has been seen in the role ofEffie White in Henry Krieger’s Dreamgirls, in which the Washingtonpost held her performance as “Heart-wrenching”.
