Hi, I’m Victoria Buwick. I am passionate about Public Relations and dance as an art form. I have a major in Public Relations and minor in dance from Appalachian State University. During my college experience, I invested my time in involving myself in the dance scene in Boone. I was committed to a hip-hop dance group called Entropy Dance Crew for three years which opened my eyes to the dance community and what it meant to push myself as a dancer. I choreographed and taught classes for Entropy and classes that were provided for the public. I was one of the selected choreographers for a main stage show called Spring Appalachian Dance Ensemble. I also choreographed for Enharmonix, an A Capella group on campus. I am proud to say Enharmonix came in first place using my choreography for an annual A Capella event called Acapellageddon. The opportunities I have had as a choreographer pushed me to be a better leader staying organized and determined.

I found opportunities around Boone to assist local events to expand my knowledge on event planning. Through the Hospitality House, a local homeless shelter, I handled donor relations for the annual Turkey Trot. I am currently in charge of donations and flyer distribution for an elementary school fundraiser event. I enjoy learning about the logistics of coordinating special events and aspire to make it my profession one day.

I am currently looking for a position in Public relations or event planning coordinating. With a growing passion for dance, I strive to incorporate the art into my career. Aside from my personal life, I enjoy running, singing, reading and creating personal relationships. Having a strong community is very important to me. I hope to find a professional environment that will allow me to strengthen a community. I have many different interests and passions and am excited to use them to benefit an organization in the near future.
