Welcome to my blog!

My name is Victoria Craig and I'm a third year student at Ryerson University studying in the Creative Industries program.

My passions are music, marketing, and writing and I hope to one day pursue a professional marketing career in the music industry!

Before I started studying in the Creative Industries program I attended Queens University in the Commerce program for one year. After that one year I realized I was committed and ready to chase my dreams to work in the entertainment industries. This was probably the hardest decision I've had to make so far in my life and I couldn't be more relieved that I was brave enough to make it.

Being a student at Ryerson University has opened up my eyes to all sorts of different opportunities. I have had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals who keep inspiring me everyday to follow my dreams.

After I graduate I hope to work at a music recording label or agency where I am able to take my professional communication and writing skills and put them to action by creating unique and thoughtful marketing plans to construct strong and effective brand awareness and brand partnerships for my firm of employment.

I believe in the golden circle of "Why, How, and What" when it comes to creating and maintaining a successful organization. I am mostly concerned with the "WHY". I think it's important to consider "WHY" you do what you do, why you're creating what you're creating, or why you're selling what you're selling. A company's vision of "WHY" they do what they do is crucial to its success and I feel passionately that marketing is the best way to express that to the public. It is what grabs their attention and draws them back to your brand. I hope to feel a part of that inspiration after I graduate!
