Victoria Foyt

While growing up, Victoria Foyt found inspiration in literature. Reading literary classics such as The Count of Monte Cristo and Gone with the Wind, she dreamed of someday writing a novel. After a successful career in producing, directing, acting, and screenwriting, Ms. Foyt parlayed her creative pursuits into her first novel, The Virtual Life of Lexie Diamond, a young adult mystery novel with supernatural elements. The Virtual Life of Lexie Diamond was published by Harper Collins in 2007.

In 2012, Sand Dollar Press published Victoria Foyt's critically acclaimed dystopian romance novel, Revealing Eden, Save The Pearls Part One. Revealing Eden won the prestigious Eric Hoffer Young Adult Book Award, as well as a place on the short list for the Eric Hoffer Grand Literary Prize, and Books and Authors Best Young Adult Fantasy Novel. Ms. Foyt has also contributed to popular magazines such as O at Home and Harper's Bazaar.

Before writing novels, Victoria Foyt worked as an actress and screenwriter for short films, features, and independent films. She is well known for her contributions as a writer and actress in several feature films directed by indie auteur Henry Jaglom. The films—Going Shopping, Last Summer In The Hamptons, Babyfever, Deja Vu, Festival In Cannes, and Venice Venice—received positive reviews from filmmakers and critics alike.

Spending her formative years in Florida, Victoria Foyt graduated from the University of Miami, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in French and Spanish with a double minor in German and Business. While attending the University of Miami, she participated in Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica and held membership in the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.

Today, Victoria Foyt continues to write, and in 2013 she will release the second installment of her young adult series: Adapting Eden, Save The Pearls Part Two. She and her two children reside in Santa Monica, California. In her free time, she enjoys studying Taoism, reading, and traveling.
