Victoria Marshman is grateful for her parents. She recognizes that she was privileged enough to have two supporting cast members who encouraged all of her creative impulses and exploratory ambles.

When she was still a little girl. Marshman's family moved from Westchester, a suburb of New York City, to San Francisco. Many kids are shaken up my moves that cover that kind of distance, but Tory continued to mind her own business, busying herself with books and California's new sights and sounds. She was always ready to exploring something through an artistic lens, whether by drawing what she observed outside or writing a few words about activities she truly enjoyed. Her parents were always in her corner and continuously urged her to break out of her comfort zone and explore new interest and hobbies. Eventually, they enrolled her in an after school photography program and gifted her a camera for her eighth birthday. Not a shabby start towards what would become a lifelong hobby!

Victoria had a particularly special relationship with her dad, with whom she would collaborate on many a project. Throughout her school days, Tory and her dad would snap pictures together, develop them, and analyze the composition with an unrelenting eye. He would take her to new places in the city, so her lens could get a fresh shot.

Tory Marshman ultimately returned to the East Coast for college, enrolling as an undergraduate at Boston University. It was a no-brainer– in high school, she took a class trip to Boston and instantly fell in love.

In addition to a B.A., Victoria received a Professional Photography degree. As an undergraduate, she participated in Greek life and took up personal athletics. That is, she was introduced to the world of running, and began training for a marathon. As a side gig, she took professional head shots for students on campus. She kept at it, and now it's a full on small business. Tory specializes in head shots, family portraits, and engagement photos.
