I career changed into teaching over ten years ago after working as an accountant and IT consultant. I have now worked at a number of schools/colleges and I have recently joined Ipswich Girls' Grammar School and Ipswich Junior Grammar School as their Digital Learning and Teaching Coordinator.
For most of my career, I have always been interested in using digital technologies and wondered why teachers were not using digital technologies for teaching or learning.
To help understand the issues, five years ago I decided to start my PhD looking into teacher's pedagogical reasoning with digital technologies.
Along my journey I was able to present my work at a number of national and international conferences. I was able to hear and meet Professor Lee Shulman at Stanford University, the man that first wrote about pedagogical reasoning.
PhD has now been completed.
For research purposes, I will continue working at the University of Southern Queensland.
