Being a former national Indonesian junior tennis athlete when I was younger makes me not paid much attention to the future of my formal career path. Ranked 7th in the national ranking, I had always imagined that I would grow up being a professional athlete. Never had I imagined that one day I would fall on my practice and break my hand that put an end to my pursuit of becoming a Professional athlete.
Fortunately, my parents enrolled me in St. Theresia, one of the top ranked private school in my hometown, Jakarta. After the incident, I was able to focus on my academic future. Graduating from high school, my parents offered me to study abroad. They believe it was essential to experience living on my own in a foreign country. I chose to study abroad in the United States since it has several Best Business Schools. Attending Seattle Central College was in fact the best experience I have ever had in my life. I had an arduous, yet enjoyable experience during my studies in Seattle Central.
Born and raised in a Chinese-cultured family who stressed out the importance of education and hard work, I became aware of my parent's high expectations. As I am the first generation of the family who has the privilege to study abroad, I bear the responsibility not to disappoint my parents. Inspired by my parents' background as bankers, I have always wanted to have professional career as a Financial Analyst. In order to fulfill this goal, I decided to pursue a bachelor's degree in Finance. I realize that my dream would require a top quality education and therefore I chose to pursue my degree in Kelley School of Business.
