I'm an amateur photographer, procrastinating blogger, world's best aunt, and friend to many.
After 10+ years at my local 911 center, and never leaving the town that I was born in, I decided it was time for a change. I took a chance and applied to dispatch for the Antarctic Fire Department in McMurdo Station, Antarctica.
Between the first 14 months and the start of my second winter season on the Ice, I traveled throughout New Zealand, Hawaii, Scotland and England.
After spending time at home I've packed my bags again and as of Sept 2015 I am living in Grand Cayman dispatching at their 911 Communications Centre.
