Vijay Dandapani

A well-known name in the New York City hospitality industry, Vijay Dandapani is the president of Apple Core Hotels, a group of hotels in Manhattan. Following his own philosophy of hotel management, his hotels offer a first-class experience for a moderate price tag. Vijay Dandapani has held numerous positions at hotels all over the world and has been with Apple Core for more than two decades. Due to his expertise and experience in this field, he is often quoted in trade publications and national media outlets on matters related to NYC's hotel industry.

Dandapani, a native of India, has been recognized as an outstanding leader by both “Crain’s New York Business” and the Asian American Business Development Center. He serves on the board of directors for many of NYC’s hospitality associations, including the International Hotel Motel & Restaurant Show, the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association, and Hotel Association of New York City. He also has been a featured hospitality speaker at forums and events.

Holding a private pilot’s license, when Dandapani needs to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy hotel industry, he can be found above flying above the city in a single engine aircraft.
