Vikas Mishra
I work as a chip designer and a chip micro-architect. No not the potato chip, not the other one either but this.
I currently work for Intel Corporation and have worked for Nvidia and Texas Instruments in the past. If you have ever used a cellphone in life, there is about 50% chance that I had something to do with the phone that you are using. If you are using a phone that doesn't work - I didn't have anything to do with that one.
I grew up in various places in India, went to college at College of Engineering Pune and joined Texas Instruments in Bangalore, India from college. I stayed with them for about 10.5 years (yes the half year is really important - it is 5%). I managed the display subsystem design team while I worked at TI.
I then joined Nvidia as an architect and then moved on to verification, I was working on the multimedia verification of Tegra chips at full chip level. Then the shores of US beckoned me and I joined Intel in Sunny California (although right now it is anything but sunny).
I am currently working as a micro-architect in the Power Management Controller of ultrabook/laptop/desktop chipsets.
