An Indian, I cut my journalistic teeth at the Hindustan Times, one of India's premier English daily newspaper, covering different aspects of news reporting including specialized reporting ranging over political, crime, health, environmental, legal, real estate and societal conditions in India’s Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh. Simultaneously, with Down To Earth (an environment fortnightly), I travelled across Himachal unearthing lapses of hydro-electric projects damaging the fragile environment.

Then, with the Tribune-a leading English daily of north India, as a staff correspondent, I was stationed at Roorkee (Uttarkahand), which prides itself with the oldest technical institution of Asia. Here, I reported diverse news with an independent charge from in and around Roorkee and Saharanpur and other parts of western UP.

I joined Reuters in Chandigarh in 2008 as a Correspondent-RML where I juggled breaking news, market reports and analytical stories for Reuters.

I’m currently associated with Reuters as a News Analyst in the Bangalore newsroom. Here, I compile and publish commodities & energy newsletters by writing content after analysing, interpreting and researching information/news received from various sources. Besides, as a Page Editor my core job is to curate Top News pages on Reuters terminals aimed at professionals ranging from market traders, fund managers to business and political leaders.
