Vikram Jayaprakash

Specializing in functional and anti-aging medicine, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash joined the medical facility Younger By Design in 2011. Based out of Auckland, New Zealand, Dr. Jayaprakash currently serves as the clinic’s Medical Director and employs a functional matrix model to help his patients achieve hormonal balance and prolonged health. He also utilizes dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, and other products to perform nonsurgical cosmetic procedures. Outside of his work at Younger By Design, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash functions as a General Practitioner at the Marsden Medical Practice. Dr. Jayaprakash possesses wide-ranging medical training and holds membership with several professional organizations, including the International Hormone Society, the AustralAsian Association of Anti-Ageing Medicine (A5M), and The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. An alumnus of the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and received his General Certificate of Secondary Education in Hong Kong. Dr. Jayaprakash underwent his postgraduate training in the United Kingdom, initially as a General Medical Senior House Officer (SHO) at Queen Alexandra Hospital. He also spent two years as an Anaesthetic SHO at St. Richard’s Hospital and Worthing Hospital before returning to Queen Alexandra Hospital as an Intensive Care Unit Fellow. In 2005, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash moved to New Zealand, where he procured a position as an anesthetist. After spending four years in that role, he served as a general practitioner for inner-city medical practice The Peoples Centre. When he is not working, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash unwinds by playing sports such as tennis, squash, and polo with the Auckland Polo Club. He maintains an active role with several nonprofit organizations as well, including The ICEHOUSE, The Executive Connection (TEC), and Freemasons NZ.
