Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences (2001), M.Sc. in Genetics and Evolutionary Biology (2005) and Ph.D. in Genetics and Evolutionary Biology (2010) all from University of São Paulo (USP).

Since 2013, develops Research in Public Health at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ), attached to the Brazilian Ministry of Health and the most prominent science and technology health institution in Latin America.

With emphasis on Animal Evolution, his endeavors in Genetics and Evolutionary Biology led him to the following topics: Evolution, Coevolution, Molecular Systematics, Phylogeography, and Cytogenetics.

Contributes to Projects, Researches, and Alumni by sharing his knowledge and expertise on Capturing Small Vertebrates (reptiles, amphibians, and mammals) for Fauna Surveys; on Rescuing and Monitoring of Wild Animals in Hydroelectric Power Plant Dam implementations; on Management and Conservation of Animals in Captivity and Mammals in Zoos; and in the area of Production Waste, Water Resources and Wastewater Management.

Cooperates with Development of Scientific Research in inhospitable environments through unconventional abilities such as Speleology, Rock and Ice Climbing, Mountaineering, High Altitude Mountaineering, and Scuba Diving, passions started 23 years ago.

Served as alpinist for the Brazilian Antarctic Program, in Antarctic Scientific Field Camps and the 'Comandante Ferraz' Brazilian Antarctic Station, as support staff for the Brazilian Navy, auxiliary to Research Projects and Scientists on six unique opportunities.

Com ênfase em Evolução Animal, dedica-se às áreas de Genética e Biologia Evolutiva aplicada aos seguintes temas: Evolução, Coevolução, Sistemática Molecular, Filogeografia e Citogenética.

Contribui com Projetos, Pesquisadores e Alunos ao compartilhar seu conhecimento e vivência em Coletas de Pequenos Vertebrados (répteis, anfíbios e mamíferos) para Levantamentos de Fauna, Monitoramento e Resgates em Usinas Hidrelétricas; na área de Manejo e Conservação de Animais em Cativeiro e Mamíferos em Zoológico; e na área de Gerenciamento de Resíduos, Recursos Hídricos e Efluentes.
