Vilma grew up, surrounded with so much family love and music. The smooth timbre of her father's slide trombone was one of the first memories of music in her life. Dad was a professional musician who played the trombone, trumpet, flute and bass. It was only natural and inevitable that she and all the siblings became musicians in one form or another. Her brother plays guitar, three other sisters sing, and youngest brother, the saxophone.

Vilma graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, with a degree in Professional studies, concentrating on Music Business, Production and Music Composition.

Vilma’s one true PASSION is writing songs. “The Key to My Life is Me” her signature song came at a time when, “I was most challenged and knew instinctively what I had to do to rise up and realize my true potential.”

One ultimate goal was to work on a project with her sisters and brothers again, and as the saying goes, dreams do come true. They’re with her on the EP titled “Life, Love and Becoming ME”
