Vinay Mehra is a seasoned financial and strategic leader with a distinguished career spanning several high-impact roles in the media and finance industries. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, he has earned a reputation for transforming struggling businesses into profitable and digitally advanced entities through his visionary leadership and innovative strategies.

Currently, Vinay Mehra serves as an Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School, where he is part of the Future of Media initiative. In this role, he conducts research on new business models for the media industry, sharing his extensive industry insights with students and faculty. His contributions to the academic community include developing case studies, delivering guest lectures, and mentoring students, thereby shaping the next generation of business leaders.

Before his tenure at Harvard, Mehra was the President and CEO of The Boston Globe Media Group from 2017 to 2020. Under his leadership, The Boston Globe underwent a significant financial turnaround, achieving $100 million in profits. He spearheaded efforts to expand the publication's digital reach, significantly boosting digital subscriptions and engagement. His focus on digital innovation ensured that The Boston Globe remained competitive and relevant in an increasingly digital world.

Vinay Mehra also served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of POLITICO, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s expansion into Europe and managed executive transitions. His strategic financial management and planning were crucial in navigating the complexities of this expansion and ensuring the company's continued growth and stability.
