Based in Los Angeles, California, Vinayak Shastry serves as CEO and co-founder of Ember Valley. Since early 2019, the company has emerged as California’s leading brand of premium indoor flower cannabis. With independent facilities located in Shasta County, Vinayak Shastry and his team have created a results-driven model for craft cannabis production.
Mr. Shastry founded his current business in June 2017 and has maintained oversight of the operations, including hiring and organizational strategy. At time of initial brand launch, Ember Valley maintained a cultivation facility spanning 40,000-square-feet, with a 12,000-pound annual growing capacity. This capacity has more than doubled with the opening of a second Shasta County facility. Indoor flower product, as well as pre-rolls and dabbable extracts, are available at more than a dozen locations, from Cookies in West Hollywood to The Grove in San Diego.
Vinayak Shastry is presently leading Ember Valley expansion efforts that include a new analytical lab capable of synthesizing novel cannabinoids. He is also working toward the production of a new brand of beer containing THC.
