Vincent Ler

Appointed the Business Unit Executive, ISV and Developer Relations, IBM SWG Group, Asean in Aug 2012. Vincent is responsible for leading engagement with ISVs, Academic Initiative, Global Entreprenuer Program across Asan.

Vincent began his career in IBM in Hong Kong in 1994 as Advisory Client Specialist, handling several strategic accounts, including multinational corporations. He was promoted to Team Leader for Manufacturing & Distribution in IBM South China in 1998.

Since 2004, Vincent has held key leadership roles at a country level, namely Territory Manager (for Industrial & Distribution sector), General Manager for Business Partner Organization and General Manager of Software Group.

In his role as General Manager of IBM Business Partner Organization, Vincent led a team managing 400 business partners including global, regional and local independent software vendors (ISVs), system integrators (SI) and distributors. He was responsible for developing the growth strategy with business partners, and ensuring compliance of the business conduct guidance.

As General Manager of Software Group, Vincent had the opportunity to drive IBM’s Academic Initiative, partnering five universities on software skills development.

Appointed as General Manager, General Business in IBM Malaysia in January 2011, Vincent is responsible for leading IBM’s business serving small and mid-sized clients in the country.

Vincent’s drive for success has rewarded him with the IBM Malaysia General Manager Award two years in a row and enrollment in the exclusive IBM Hundred Percent Club, recognizing exceptional staff who have achieved and exceeded their sales quota.

Vincent holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from National Chung Hsing University Taipei, Taiwan and an Executive Program certification from Boston University, Graduate Business School.
