After graduating from Professional Children’s School, and completing my training with The School of American Ballet, I became a professional ballet dancer. I won the "Mae L. Wein" award for outstanding promise, and was invited to become an apprentice with The New York City Ballet. After a year of rehearsing and training as an apprentice, I became a member of the corps de ballet where I spent the next 10 years dancing core, soloist, and principal roles in various George Balanchine, and Jerome Robbins ballets. I also originated roles in ballets choreographed by Peter Martins, Christopher Wheeldon, and Mauro Bigonzetti.
After an incredible career I retired from the ballet and started a real estate company. This company currently has a portfolio of homes in New York and Florida. During this time, the concept for letsdutch.com came to me after failing to rally a group of friends to share bottle service at a club. I knew there were people outside the club on line who would be willing to share with me, but there was no marketplace to find them and share the cost of the table ahead of time. While brainstorming and planning out what let's Dutch, could be, I realized it could be a full lifestyle brand, not just for clubs. A social marketplace to share the cost of any group experience you want. From private jets, Hampton houses, luxury suites at Yankee stadium, to bottle service at clubs, yoga retreats, or even cooking classes. I learned this concept from my many years experiencing the best of the best, by sharing the cost with fellow colleagues while performing all over the world. I want letsdutch.com to be THE marketplace for the sharing economy. A safe place where you can share the cost of experiences with old friends and new.
