Wine is defined as the product acquired exclusively by alcoholic fermentation, total or in part, of fresh or slightly held vitis viniferous fruits, crushed or not, or of grape must have. In short, wine is the result of a natural process where the sugar present in the grape is transformed into ethyl alcohol (ethanol) thanks to the action of the yeasts. If the wine is a drink that contains alcohol then it is an alcoholic drinks. The psychological purpose of wine is extensively proved, it is drunk to satisfy and obtain gratifying sensations, only because of this wine could be considered as a food. Now, from the nutritional point of view based on its composition, the wine has more than 2000 components, which include mainly water and alcohol, sugars, some vitamins, potassium, calcium, among others. Its concentration varies according to the diversity of grapes, cultivation techniques and processing. Wine give energy and nutrients, consequently it is a food.
