Adora Bayles

An old hand at graphic design, my skills are well developed through years of practice and experience. Our economy’s downturn has given me the golden opportunity to upgrade my graphic Design and Communication Arts skills. The Art Institute of Pittsburgh diploma I earned recently is an invaluable asset to my background in the workplace. Working in chaos is stimulating to the creative spirit, especially alongside young whippersnappers with all their fresh ideas. It’s an ideal work environment for me, having raised energetic sons and grown up (not old) with energetic grandchildren. The learning environment at Norwalk Community college is charged with youthful energy, middle aged wisdom and vital young teachers. The online learning environment with the Art Institute of Pittsburgh has been surprisingly fun and informative. Both institutions have given me a powerful new confidence in my ability to compete in this marketplace with a fresh new view of the Media business. Communication Arts and Graphic Design are married and walk hand-in-hand into the future. Neither of these skills functions well without the other. That is the reason I am spending more time in college—to earn a dual degree in both environments. My forté is menus and catalog designs, which need an expert in the use of stylesheets for uniformity. A gifted artist, my raw talent often shows up in my work as well. I look forward to meeting with you. Sincerely, Adora Bayles /ab
