A vintage car is, ingeneral sense it is an old automobile. It is the royal vintage carsfrom the period of 1919 to 1930. At that time people have categorizationschemes for the ages of cars that differentiate between the vintage cars, classic cars, antique cars, and so on. The criteria ofclassification vary, but consent within any country is often maintained bymajor car clubs.
On the 15thFebruary 2000, the Vintage and the Classic Car Collection, The palace Udaipurwas unveiled in the entire general public. This inauguration allowed thevisitors to appreciate this astonishing collection of the cars for the firsttime. The vintage and classic car collection and the museum with thedifference. Thecollection of vintage cars is housed in the original former Mewar state MotorGarage, the glorious setting for such the fine assortments of the vehicles. Thebougainvillea- coated Garden Hotel and the Restaurant, Udaipur, is alsocontained within the garage’s grounds. The semi-circular motor garage with itsforecourt is housed within the greater courtyard, creating the pleasanthideaway from the bustle of streets.
The motor garage itself was built at a time whenthe only cars in town belonged to the Mewar State Motor Garage and the presentday surroundings make this garage as wonderfully stylish as it must always havebeen.
The collection ofvintage cars of kings of Rajasthan makes an interesting diversion, for what ittells about their best lifestyle and for the vintage vehicles themselves.Housed within the former state garage there are 22 splendid vehicles. Thebeautiful 1934 Rolls- Royce phantom was used in the Octopussy and Cardillacconvertible that catapult Queen Elizabeth II to the airport in 1961.
