Viola Motyl

Viola Motyl-Palffy was born in Sobrance, Slovakia and completed her art studies at the university of P.J Safarick in Presov, Slovakia. Ms. Motyl currently lives and works in Florida and Switzerland but her paintings have been exhibited in galleries and art centers in numerous countries in Europe and around the world including Japan and the United States ( look at history exhibitions for more information). Ms. Motyl-Palffy is also an active member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, located in Washington, D.C.
In 2002, Ms. Motyl’s work was exhibited in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. Her work has been published annually in the “New Art International” magazine since 2001.
In 2005, Dr. Eduard Kukan, the minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, awarded Ms. Motyl the Gold Medal for Life Achievement Representing Slovak Art and Culture abroad.
