Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt

Hi! I'm a senior researcher in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) with a great passion in art.

I earned my doctoral degree in Information Technologies from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. In November 2006, I joined Salzburg Research. My research interest is in Multi-Agent Systems, and its Game Theoretic foundation. In addition to my research passion, I'm actively seeking funding sources through writing proposals for new research projects.

My work-life balance is focused around my family and my art studio.

Due to my good painting abilities, I became proficient in several mediums: egg tempera, oil painting, and watercolours. I studied art at the private fine arts school of a distinguished Serbian painter Sergej Jovanovic in Belgrade. During the period 1998-2005, I was involved in Byzantine Icon painting and had my artwork exhibited at the Palace of Princess Ljubica (Belgrade (2000, 2003)), the Greeley Square Gallery (Manhattan, NYC (2002-2003)), the Epiphany Lutheran Church (Richmond, VA (2003)), the Greek Orthodox Cathedral Saints Constantine and Helen (Richmond, VA (2003)), the Consulate General of Serbia (Salzburg (2010)). My early artwork is in fashion design (1993-1994), while the latest collection of oil on canvases, called "Fractal Universe", was preliminary exhibited in November 2011, in Salzburg (Halwang).
