"Photography sort of fell in my lap. When looking back at how I became a photographer it is almost like it rained on me. I didn’t have a great interest in pictures. Or art. And no, my family didn’t give me a camera when I was 12. It was small random sources hitting me different places and when faced with the crossroad and question of; “What do I do now for a hobby?” I was soaked up in the idea of becoming a photographer. Since then small encounters have led me to places and then around it a few extra times."
Vipul Surana is a amateur photographer, photo educator and conservationalist based out of Aurangabad(MH), India. He specializes in landscape, travel and wildlife photography. Throughout his work one can see that he combines his love of the natural world with his fascination of the world’s diverse cultures. Each of his photographs tells a story of life on this planet. Born in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, he developed a love for both the mountains and the wildlife at a young age. Whether he was exploring the Niligiri Mountains or walking in the forests of Mudumalai, Vipul’s thirst for adventure and the outdoors started early.
He is a mix of technicality, innovation and out of the box thinking. He loves taking on technical challenges in anything he does, including photography. As a photographer, he is completely self-taught. He doesn't know the rules, nor does he care about them. He doesn't follow the herd, he does it his own unique way. That turns out to be invaluable in what he does. It has allowed him to experiment, see outside the borders, challenge the authorities and create a stunning photography style that is crisp, sharp and crystal clear.

I was picked because the band manager wasa friend of mine(it was 2007). It took really crappy photos now that I think of it but I made the most of it, and completed my 'mission'. That day I started to see photography as something I'd like to pursue more seriously."
"My photography is all about passion. As for me, the most important and powerful passion is passion for life itself! Life is precious. I’m so grateful for my talent, unique sensibility, and extraordinary ability to think “outside the box.” I feel happy every single moment of my life, and my memories and my dreams are, as always, inspired. I guess my positive life attitude is wha
