Virginia Clemente Castaño

Teacher in Sevilla, España

I am a qualified English and Spanish teacher. At the moment, I am working in Seville teaching English as a foreign language.

In the past, I have worked both in Spain and the United Kingdom teaching English in the former and Spanish in the latter. I have taught all ages and levels, from kids to undergraduate students, but I am also experienced in teaching adults.

I was born in the pretty city of Seville (Spain), so I am a native speaker of Spanish. I have a C1 level of English (currently seeking to upgrade it to C2) and a pre-intermediate level of French. I have also studied German and Italian at university, having obtained an A2 in both languages (although I have not practiced them that much since I graduated). As I love Asian culture, particularly Japan and its language, I am currently studying Japanese as well (irregularly, just in my spare time).

I love teaching and, as far as I can remember, I always wanted to become a teacher, even when I was a little kid. When time came, I studied English Language and Literature (what in Spain is known as "Filología Inglesa" - English Philology-), spending a year studying abroad to improve my English skills. Back in Spain, I completed my Master's Degree in Education. I also took several courses to complete my training as a fully qualified teacher.

When I am not working or studying languages, I like to do some other things, like reading (I am an insatiable bookworm), listening to music (especially classic rock), playing videogames (just occasionally, sadly) and watching good films and TV series. I absolutely adore cats and have one of my own, and I also like to spend time playing with her.

If you are looking for a practised English/Spanish teacher and my profile caught your eye, do not hesitate to contact me and feel free to ask for any additional information you might want or need: my CV, a cover letter, references...
