Virginia Moubray

If it weren't for broadcast journalism, I literally would not be here; my parents met in one of DC's busiest news channels. I spent my childhood tagging along with my dad on various local assignments and following my grandmother as she weaved though the chaotic newsroom...I always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.

My career has spanned nearly 15 years and several incarnations, including (but not limited to) photographer, script runner, field producer, celebrity handler, de facto reporter, and guest booker. Currently, I manage a team of seasoned producers responsible for coordinating and securing interviews with a variety of news makers, world leaders, and financial analysts for the world’s largest television broadcaster, CCTV. Prior to joining CCTV-America, I worked for both international and domestic media outlets, including CNN and Middle East Broadcasting/Alhurra-TV.

Most notably, I had the great privilege of producing for CNN’s “Larry King Live” where I learned a great deal about the art of listening, being a gracious host, and allowing a story to tell itself; and also the Dodgers.

In my spare time, I like to run… a lot. I have run races on 4 continents thus far, indulging both my runner's high and my wanderlust.
